No one should be afraid to go to school. Sadly, lives are lost every year because of gun violence. The first of these two submitted poems is a quick and heart-felt response to the issue of violence on American school campuses. Be aware that some may find the images upsetting. And don't worry, there's a much less intense poem right after it.

Good job! A strong inside view of today's society (The majority of them). I liked the pattern of surging intensity to lost hope, emphasizing the importance of these awful tragedies caused by selfish people in high power. Constructive criticism: You displayed the despair well, but maybe take up the level of anger.
