Vwoooooom! Baz Eidel was being sucked up a tube at excruciating speeds. Baz was thrown off by the wind into a huge room with a man standing on his desk.
“I’m Dan cupid the world renowned love expert. Now why have you come here.” “I want,” Baz stammered “ I want, girls.” “What did you say?! I can't hear you!” Dan Cupid yelled. He jumped off his desk. “I want to get girls!” Baz yelled “That’s the spirit laddie,” He said in a Scottish accent “I will do anything for a gal. You don’t even know bro,” Noted Baz.

It was a normal day. I walked into the office late, as usual. I was ready to apologize to Mr. Slane, when I saw no one was in the building. So i checked my phone to see if it was a day off, it wasn’t, just a plain old Monday. Checked my watch maybe I was early and they were late but nope, it was 8:00 a.m. I was confused because all the lights were on, and the a.c was on but no one was there! So I went to Starbucks next door to get some breakfast, I usually don’t eat breakfast, so today was a treat. A juicy bacon egg and cheese melt. I then saw someone from the office, but he looked kind of translucent.
“Hello?” The sound going into empty fog with no one to receive it. The fog, thick and heavy, surrounding me at every side. The freezing cold air causing me to shiver. Everything quiet and lonely.
“Where am I?” yelling at someone that isn’t there. “Answer me!” I was yelling while a note quietly fell to my feet. The strong winds lashing at my face make me wish I had never come up this hill. Trudging through all the tall grass and slick ground, I check my monitor, making sure I’m going in the right direction to the right place. The green flashing light moving slowly on the light gray trail telling me that, unfortunately, I am. My mind flees to this morning when I received an email telling me that the current mail carrier had fallen ill the night before, leaving me with her commission in my burdened hands. I wonder if this is all a prank, my brother’s idea of “loving” me.
No Escape by Declan C
There I was running as fast as I could, through downtown, passing screaming mothers, fathers, and children, that were running too. I risked a quick glance back, and the wave of lava and fire seemed to see me and loomed larger as it was coming after me. I make a quick right and a building with hundreds of people jumping out the windows crashes down mere feet from me. I do some quick thinking, look back and the wave looks like a fiery brick wall, so I take a chance and run through the building. The inside is full of broken beams and cement, it’s hard to get through and i'm second guessing this decision to go through the building, which is tipped on its side and held little oxygen. Somehow, I reach the end but before I step out. I see a half dead hand poking out of the rubble and piles of broken cement. |
